In Fond Memory of Jim O'Brien

Comrade "Jungle Jim" O'Brien was a longtime member of Post 273.  He held many different offices to include 4 terms as Post Commander and instrumental in getting the Honor and Color Guard going. Jim proudly fought in Vietnam as a U.S. Marine.  He then went on to serve in the U.S. Army Infantry with NATO in Italy.  Jim was enrolled in the Massachusetts Army National Guard Officer Candidate School when debilitating sickness from Agent Orange exposure rendered him disabled and forced him to medically retire from the military. He was extremely proud of his daughter Erin and could be found around the "shoe" bragging with a smile about her achievements. Jim was a pillar of this Post and will be missed.

A go fund me page has been set up to help cover the cost of Jim's funeral.
